In the film, we see a three-minute montage of death and destruction in which Jedi after Jedi is wiped out. ![]() ![]() The order is for the Troopers to kill the Jedi they are fighting alongside, because Palpatine claimed they were behind a conspiracy to assassinate him. In one of the most memorable scenes in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, Palpatine orders the Clone Troopers to execute Order 66.
